Try the free hairstyle preview
Upload one clear photo. AI finds face landmarks and positions a hair silhouette automatically. This is a stylized outline preview, not a realistic new haircut. Your original hair stays in the picture.
Start with a front-facing photo of one person. The face model loads only when you choose a photo or take one.
Your silhouette preview
The first fit is automatic. Small optional adjustments help when the estimated forehead point is not at your hairline. Downloads include an outline-preview label.
How to try a hairstyle on your photo
- Choose a useful photo. Face the camera, keep your head level and use even light. Pull hair away from your face if possible. Avoid hats, filters and very close selfies.
- Read the photo notice and choose your image. You can also take one camera photo. The tool looks for one face and places an outline without asking you to mark points.
- Compare the six options. Change the overlay color and use “Show original photo” to switch back. Keep the same photo when comparing styles.
- Adjust only if needed. The size and position controls correct the outline; they do not change your face. Download an idea or clear the photo when finished.
The first run includes a model download, so it can take longer on a slow connection. If no face is found, use a clearer, straight-on photo. If two faces are found, choose a picture containing only you.
What you can compare
Length and side width
Long Layers, Bob and Shag let you compare where the outline ends and how much space it takes up beside your face. They cannot show how curls shrink, how layers move or how thick your hair will look.
Short shapes and a center opening
Pixie and Buzz add compact outlines. Curtain Bangs add an opening with pieces beside the forehead. The buzz option cannot erase existing hair or show a realistic shaved head.
These options are starting shapes, not a catalog of every haircut. If you want to compare a fade, a wolf cut or a particular barber’s work, bring a separate reference photo. A silhouette cannot specify a clipper guard, graduation or cutting technique.
What “AI hairstyle changer” means here
AI estimates face landmarks. Our code uses the forehead area, face width and eye angle to place a drawn hairstyle. That is the automated part. The hair itself is a fixed vector outline, not newly generated strands.
This tool does not remove your current hair, invent a new face, predict hair growth or produce a photorealistic haircut. It is useful for comparing broad shapes and colors. It is not suitable for deciding how a shaved scalp, exact hair dye or detailed salon finish will look.
The estimated forehead point is not a measured hairline. Tilt, head turns, glasses, shadows and partly covered faces can affect placement. Optional adjustment controls help you correct the drawing. A neatly aligned outline is still an illustration, not proof that a haircut will suit you.
Turn a preview into a useful haircut idea
Start with what you want to change: less hair in your eyes, more length beside your face, an easier morning routine, or a different outline. Face shape is one clue; your preferences, hair texture, density, growth pattern and maintenance time also matter.
If you are unsure about your outline, try the automatic Face Shape Detector or the no-photo face shape quiz. You do not need a perfect label before choosing a haircut.
When talking to a stylist, show your original photo, the preview and a real haircut reference. Ask: “Can my current length and texture do this? How much styling does it need? What would you change?” This is more useful than treating one shape label as a rule.
For shape-specific starting points, see triangle face hairstyles for men, diamond face hairstyles for men and rectangle face hairstyles for men. Use the suggestions you like; there is no required haircut for any face.
Your photo and the preview
This widget analyzes the selected image in your browser and draws the result on a local canvas. It does not contain an image-upload endpoint or an identity search. The download button saves a PNG to your device; it does not publish the picture.
The face model and software are downloaded from external hosts. Google’s MediaPipe library may send performance and usage metrics. Those requests are separate from sending the input image. GoldenRatioFace also uses website analytics. “Processed in your browser” should not be read as “no network requests.”
Clear photo removes the active image and result from this widget and stops an active camera. It does not delete a file you downloaded or undo a request already sent. Closing the tab ends the active session. Only use photos you have permission to use.
Questions about hairstyle previews
Is this hairstyle changer free?
This widget offers six silhouettes, color and alignment controls, and a PNG download without payment or account creation.
Will it give me a realistic new hairstyle?
No. It puts a stylized silhouette over your photo. It does not remove existing hair or generate realistic hair strands.
Can I use it on a phone?
Use a current mobile browser and a clear photo. Camera access needs permission and HTTPS. If the camera does not open, use the photo picker. Model download speed and device memory can affect the first run.
Does it recommend the best haircut automatically?
No. It automatically positions the preview, but does not rank your attractiveness or select a guaranteed best haircut. Compare the options and discuss practical details with a stylist.
Why is the outline too high or wide?
The model estimates facial points, not the edge of your hair. Use a level photo, then adjust size or position. If your face is turned strongly to one side, replace the photo rather than forcing the outline to fit.
