One problem, solved honestly. Most golden ratio face tools do one of two things badly. They upload your photo to a server you cannot see, or they hand you a beauty percentage with no explanation of what it measures or why the science behind it is debated.
GoldenRatioFace.net fixes both. Your photo never leaves your device. Your score comes with the actual ratio numbers, how far each one sits from 1.618, and a clear explanation of what the number does and does not mean.

What We Measure
Scoring uses four proportional checks. Each ratio is compared to its classical target, then averaged into one harmony score out of 100.
Face Length to Width
Hairline to chin divided by cheekbone width. The primary golden ratio signal, targeting 1.618.
Mouth to Nose Width
Lip corner spacing divided by nostril width. The most quoted feature ratio, also targeting 1.618.
Lower Face Segments
Lips-to-chin compared against nose-to-lips. Checks balance in the lower third of the face.
Facial Thirds Balance
Forehead, midface, and lower face heights compared for equality. Explained in our thirds and fifths guide.
On accuracy: photo-based measurement depends on your image. A straight, front-facing shot taken at eye level from a few feet away gives the most reliable landmarks. Hairline position is estimated, because the true hairline is not a detectable landmark, so face length carries a small margin. We say this openly instead of implying lab precision.
Why We Publish the Criticism
Almost every golden ratio site tells you phi is the secret formula of beauty. We do not, because the research does not support that claim cleanly.
Symmetry and averageness have stronger, more consistent links to attractiveness ratings than 1.618 does. Many admired faces sit far from phi. Studies that tested the famous Marquardt phi mask across different populations found plenty of attractive faces that fit it poorly.
So we publish the criticism alongside the tool, in full, in Is the Golden Ratio Face Real?. A measurement site that hides the debate is selling a result, not reporting one. That honesty is the whole point of this project.
